Sabagebu!

We all have that one anime series that, regardless of what others say, make us laugh our heads off. Sabagebu is one of those animes that just makes me laugh, even if the joke is over used, stupid or just downright ridiculous.

While there is no denying that Sabagebu! is not the first type of its genre, I feel that it has done a good job in making itself fun to watch and leaving you asking for more. Each episode contains several small stories, something which some may dislike. I don't have a problem with it personally, but overall I would still prefer the use of one story per episode or a story arc stretching over two or three episodes. Thankfully, Sabagebu! pulls off the 'short stories in one episode' thing pretty well.

The characters are downright hilarious. Even if you hate the narrator, or the weird looking platypus, you can never go wrong with the characters from the survival club. At first, I was annoyed that the characters were stereotypical cardboard cut outs such as the rich ojou sama, the otaku, and the big breasted one. But after making it past the third or fourth episode, I was hit with the realization that this is what makes the show funny.

I enjoyed the show because I realized that the show was somehow making fun of these characters. You know what will happen because you already know what the personalities are like, and what actions they would undoubtedly take, but when it happens, you will find yourself laughing along with them. I feel that Momoka is what makes the interactions between the characters enjoyable and ridiculous. Her sarcastic and selfish personality made me want to continue watching, if only for the parts where Momoka's actions leads to the group going on some ridiculous mission or taking part in her idea.

Story: There are some genuinely entertaining stories that will make you chuckle or laugh until your throat hurts. However, there is no overarching plot or visible ending. It is what it is, a fun and quirky anime that you can shut off your brain and enjoy.  7/10

Characters: Not much development for any of the characters, and some are just there for the sake of being there. On the bright side, most of them make the show much funnier, the dynamic between Urara and Momoka being one of the best for me. 7/10

OSTs: Does its job but seems boring and bland at times. Opening is pretty generic but the ending is addictive and quirky. 6.5/10

Enjoyment: A very fun and good time filler with great jokes and enjoyable characters. I defintely get the blu-ray or rewatch it if I want something to tickle my funny bone.  8.5/10

Natsume Yuujinchou San

And so, I finally managed to finish the third installment of the Natsume Yuujinchou series.

I think the third season is the most enjoyable out of the three so far. While the first two were enjoyable, i think that Natsume Yuujinchou San has something that the previous two did not. One of things, was that in this season, we begin to understand why Natsume has these contradicting feelings towards Youkai. Several of the episodes show his childhood in more depth, and how being able to see something others could not had affected him during his childhood. As a bonus, we also get to see how Natsume came to live with his current caretakers.

Another thing which sets season three out from the rest is that Natsume finally comes to a conclusion with his feelings towards both the Youkai, and the humans. That episode was a stunning conclusion to a fantastic season. As the two previous Natsume Yuujinchou animes, season three still deals with themes such as loneliness and forgiveness splendidly. It does not shove the lesson down your throat but instead, allows you to follow Natsume through his journey like an invisible mentor observing your charge.

The music is very calming, but i think that i preferred the previous two ending songs to this one. I feel it sorts of fall short when compared to the ending songs of the two previous seasons. Never the less, it is still enjoyable. The character development in Natsume Yuujinchou San is also fantastic. Plenty of supporting characters get their screen time, and it didn't feel as if it was too forced.

Plot: Story varies episode to episode but has very good pacing. 8/10

Characters: Major and minor character developments in this season. 8.5/10

Music: Ending was not quite as good as the previous two but manages to hold its own. 8/10

Recommended: To people who have watched the first two seasons and prefer episodic plots to one overarching story line.

RWBY - Season 1

Okay, so this is a series i've been waiting to start on since it came out. Of course, being the horrible procrastinator i am, i decided to pursue this series when my major examinations are less than a week away. To tell you the truth, i did shy away from this series at first, simply because i heard the words 'American' and 'Anime' in one sentence. I will admit i'm one of those people who consider 'anime' anime only when it's made by Japanese people.

From Wikipedia.org
I would say that RWBY still needs a shit ton of work. It has the potential to evolve into something spectacular, but as of now, i would say that it is pretty okay. But one thing's for sure, is that RWBY is unique.

PLOT - 6.5/10

I would say the story is mediocre at best. Although it is interesting, it is also pretty cliche and predictable. The formula of 'Heroes going on a journey to save humanity' has been so overused that i'm actually quite surprised that RWBY didn't fall flat on its face. This show/anime is indeed enjoyable and was better than what i was expected. But by the time Season 1 was over, i felt that nothing big was accomplished. It spent majority of it's time fleshing out the characters and sorting out the dynamics between the various characters.

CHARACTERS - 7/10

RWBY has an interesting cast of different characters with their own unique quirks, back stories and weapons. However, the characters still feel very cliched and one dimensional. Anime fans will watch this and know what i'm talking about. Alot of them feel like cutout boards of various anime stereotypes such as the tsundere, the ditzy but powerful one, the calm and collected one with a mysterious past, the seemingly promiscuous and flirtatious one and even the useless but lovable character. They still need a lot of character development in order for the not-really-fans to form emotional attachments with the characters.

But one thing is for sure, is that the characters all look very pretty. Waifu material if you will.

ANIMATION: 7/10

Let me just say now, that i am definitely not a fan of 3D animation. I utterly detest anime which try (and fail) to integrate 3D with 2D animation. Or even worse, when they create an anime fully using 3D animation. Cough-Unbreakable robot doll-Cough.

I was pleasantly surprised however, when i watched RWBY. Although there are some instances where the animation feels blocky or chunky, it looks pretty damn good most of the time. The action scenes are glorious and i often find myself replaying those parts over and over. The trailer is a good example of this. I recommend watching the season 1 first and then watching the trailers. I promise it would be a much better experience.

The character designs are pretty good too. The weapons are fantastic and very, very creative. Who knew a scythe could also be a high velocity sniper rifle?

SOUNDTRACK: 10/10

I am 100% in love with RWBY's soundtracks. I recommend watching the series before listening to them, for a bigger emotional impact. Their individual character songs are perfectly suited for their characters. I cannot tell you how many times i replayed 'Red like roses' and 'From the shadows'. Goldstar material, these soundtracks are.

The opening song is nothing to scoff at too. 'This will be the day' seriously gave me an eargasm. 'I may fall' is very touching too, i admit. I have to give credit to RWBY for having such an amazing soundtrack. The voice needs some work, but it is mostly so-so. Not really on par with usual animes but the dialogue is hilarious. This show has comedy down to a T.

Oh, and i just discovered that there is going to be a Japanese dub version. Those who prefer japanese to English would be better off watching that one.

RECOMMENDATION: Would i watch this again? Yes, of course. I recommend this to those who are looking for a short but entertaining series. I suggest those who are looking for complex plots and characters to ultimately stay away.

Natsume Yuujinchou

Now, i actually started watching this anime on a whim. But holy shit this anime is unexpectedly good. The plots are episodic and the episodes mostly give off a very bittersweet feeling. There are many times in the anime where i teared up and honestly, i can tell you that Natsume yuujinchou is one of my favourites.

The animation is, for a lack of a better word, very relaxing ad mellow. I always felt peaceful while watching episode after episode, and it almost felt as if i was floating through the entire first season. All the characters are very likable and the main character, i feel, is very easy to relate to. He suffers from insecurities like all of us and the anime shows him growing mentally, overcoming his inner demons and learning many things from his experience with the Youkai.

Plot: Episodic and each episode is very relaxing. 9/10

Characters: Both side and main characters are likable and provides good comedic relief. 9/10

Op and ed: Both are extremely relaxing and in a way hopeful. 10/10

Recommended: Great for those looking for a relaxing anime. For those who dislike episodic plots, stay away. 5/5

Strike witches The Movie

Now let it be said that this is not the first time i have watched this movie.  But damn, it is good.

I am a sucker for these types of anime. Moe overload and the entire cast are mostly girls, my favourite kind of anime. I know i kind of sound like a pervert here but i enjoy an entire female cast more than a co-ed cast is all i'm saying. The dynamic is completely different but i am a complete sucker for it.

Strike witches the movie is a sequel to Strike witches season 2, picking off where the anime ended. For those not familiar with the anime series, i recommend that you watch it first because the characters will be less unfamiliar and more enjoyable for you. The feeling i get when watching Strike witches (the entire series) is very similar to the feeling i get when watching Girls und Panzer. Moe, check. Military, check. Possible yuri pairings and shoujo ai explosion, check.

The movie is extremely enjoyable for fans of the series like me, and i am happy to say that although it is not the best anime movie i have ever watched, it manages to hold its own. The last 30 mins of the movie is fantastic and very high octane and did i mention that i love friendship between moe girls? Seriously, this stuff is fodder for my imaginary moe world.

Plot: Picks up from season 2 of strike witches. Like all the animes of this genre, it gets boring sometimes but the overall experience is good. 7/10

Characters: This is where strike witches shines. A great cast of fully developed characters (from the anime) with individual personalities and quirks. Outstanding. 9/10

Music: The movie ending is pretty good and fits the overall feel of the series ( not only the movie). The opening is generic but still good. 7/10

Saki Zenkoku-Hen

To be completely honest with you, i didn't find this sequel that amazing. Yes they did have those episodes that made you go HOLY CRAP but those are few and far in between. Saki hardly makes any appearances in this one and its quite weird considering that the anime is named 'Saki'.

The series is trying to hard to outshine its predecessor and added too many characters, even going as far as to explore their numerous back stories. For Saki fans who came back expecting the same delightful characters they fell in love with were met with unfamiliar characters, any bad part about this sequel. Saki zenkoku hen barely holds up against the first season, but it is enjoyable if you are a fan of the series. Newcomers would find everything confusing since many terminologies and awesome character KO attacks are just foreign to them. Throw in many more new characters and it is just chaos.

Fortunately, most of the mahjong matches are still interesting, and i have to admit that it is quite fun to see brand new finishing moves. The soundtrack for Saki Zenkoku hen is impeccable, it soothes your ears and makes your blood pump with excitement at the right moments. I especially love the ost which appears when Toyone debuts.

Watching this before the first season will set you up for failure because you will definitely give up at the second episode. Third episode tops. Oh and some of Miyanaga Saki's past is explored and leaves all of us with a cliffhanger. Those prats.

Plot: Could have been done better but fans will most likely love the fact that the story is continuing. 7/10

Characters: Old lovable characters barely make and appearance and there are far too many back stories which are explored which made it quite boring for me. 7/10

Music: I'm a big fan of anime series with great OSTs. This one definitely outshines the first season. 9/10

Recommended: For fans of the first season. Newcomers should stay away or watch the first season first.

Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C³-bu

Finally my internet has come back. Take it as a sort of hiatus if you will. By the way, project zomboid is one really, really hard game. Can you believe that i died because i forgot to turn of the stove? Four hours down the drain....

Remember when i was complaining about how the third episode was kinda boring? Yeah, i should have went passed that episode because that is when the good stuff comes barreling in. Have we learned nothing from Madoka Magica? The third episode is always the one where shit starts to go down. Well anyway, on to my thoughts.

This anime is actually quite interesting. In a wacky sort of way. Unfortunately, the story line hinges way too much on the development of Yurara's character. Although i do agree that she is the main protagonist, some back story for the other members of the Stella club would have been nice and informative. The only one club member who got some back story screen time was Sonohara. I personally think that the plot could have been much better, if it was executed properly. The first six episodes were quite enjoyable, but after the seventh, it just became tough to even watch. Only at the end of the anime did the show get back its enjoyment.

The changes in Yurara were exciting but they were a little over the top. I mean a girl can't go from being meek to a confident cocky gal in one or two episodes. Sure, there were signs that it was happening but it was too forced. I loved the buildup towards the new personality for Yura but as it went on, her boldness and arrogance just became too much for me, making me skip a several episodes. Just because you can make a character overly bossy and obsessed with winning doesn't mean you should! If Yura's new personality was a little more tame, i may have enjoyed the several episodes that i skipped.

The animation is so-so but i have to praise one of the earlier episodes where Yura was transported into her dream world. The bizarre colours made the scene so perfect. It was so intense that i almost believed that i was actually there, in the scene. Trust me when i say this. The opening is also quite good. The ending song however, seems quite out of place by the end of the entire series.

Plot: While gun-totting females rank high on my list of favorite genres, this one was poorly excuted. Fun at times but annoying at others. 6/10

Characters: Yurara's character development is the main content of this anime. It should have been more tame, but other than that no complaints. The other characters were distinct and were quite interesting overall. More backstry would have been nice. 8/10

Animation: Did not see anything special about it except in two episodes and the second opening. The rest was average at best. 7/10

Recommended: For people who are looking for major character development and seeing girls being bad-ass. Not recommended for people who look for a good and intriguing story.

Mushibugyou

So we all know Shingeki no kyojin. What about Mushibugyou?

The spring animeline up consists of many underrated anime series because they were all overshadowed by Shingeki. Mushibugyou was literally hiding right under their noses.

When i first started watching this, i expected it to be a hit and miss. After all the entire story was going to be set in ancient edo....with characters battling giant insects. I was pretty sure it would be those ridiculous stories with over the top characters shouting out fancy names for their awesome fighting styles. To my amazement, it was all that.....and more.

One thing that really caught my attention was how unexpected the story was. There are two story arcs. The first few episodes were dedicated to introducing the characters, showing how they and the main character's friendship would bloom. You know the usual stuff. Jinbei himself reminded me of a typical shonen character, but surprisingly, he was thankfully imbued with good comedic sense and just a little bit of pervertedness that made mushibugyou interesting and funny.

After all that layman stuff was over, the show started to pick up speed, and got the ball rolling. From there it was a non-stop pleasant experience for me. Samurai anime's are usually overdone so i threw away my common sense and enjoyed the show even more. Another thing about that stood with mushibugyou is their characters. Each one was given a distinct personality and to make things better, their voice actors did an amazing job portraying them.

However, their fight scenes were a little to dramatic for me. Some of their attacks were little too over the top and only several fights were especially good. But if you overlook all the flaws, i can say that Mushibugyou would be close to perfect. It really exceeded my expectations. I am looking forward to rewatching it again soon.

Plot: Great and better than i initially expected. 8/10

Characters: The main characters had an impact on the plot on a very personal level and their past were explored intimately, something that really made the show better. 9/10

Animation: Pretty good. But the character designs threw me off a little, they were abit too comical for my tastes. (Mugai and Kotori hairstyles.)  7/10

Soundtracks: A little repetitive but all openings and endings were pretty amazing. 7/10

Overall: Takes a long while to get to the real plot but you will be rewarded. 3.5/5

Sora no woto

I finally finished another anime series. This one took quite long because i had so much to do! On hindsight this one was lovely, i love it. In contrast to the moe type characters, this anime has a good storyline and a deep meaning.

Kanata enlists herself in the military to learn how to play the bugle. Her inspiration is actually formed from her meeting with a beautiful blond haired woman during the war, who plays her a song which seemingly touches her soul. She meets four other girls, namely Noel, Rio, Kureha and filicita.

They consider her to be a naive innocent girl because she loves the world. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic setting and shows us how the war has spread through out the world. Now humans have been reverted back to their past predecessors, such as being unable to use airplanes. However as the show continues, it is clear that there are many machines and technology that are not familiar with our time.

From what i can tell, this means that the world had evolved so much that humans waged a war on one another, causing the world to suffer. As the show progresses we are also shown that there is no more life in the sea, and that many countries such as Europe have become non-existent and is now known as 'no mans land' due to the desert like climates and barrenness of the land.

Sora no woto shows me that Kanata manages to bond with her teammates and it is also clear that her innocence is 'special' to them, because some of them have been through the war, which has scarred them deeply. I find their own personal stories very interesting and they add to the 'mysteriousness' of the story. I would say that the character development is pretty well done. I also enjoyed the fact that the show was a little dark, the realism of the show made the story more believable.

The backgrounds are beautifully animated, with a large amount of detail. The OSTs are orgasmic, they add so much effect to the show, especially the bugle. Overall i enjoyed it and would probably watch it again without a doubt.

Plot: 8/10

Characters: 8/10

Graphics: 10/10

Recommended: 4/5

Love Lab episode 1 (The age of yuri is here!!!)

I have been waiting for this! FINALLY! Yeahhhhh!

The long awaited first episode is finally out, and it made some pretty good impressions on me.

For one i am really excited because this is supposedly Yuri, and since there are so few pure yuri animes out there i was naturally excited. However, i hope with all my heart that this series will not become another Candy boy, because i would just go crazy.

The moment i started watching this, i had a good feeling about it. And apparently i was right. The first episode had me laughing all the way through, and the progress between the two protagonists is simply amazing.

The jokes were awesome, and the funniest parts were how the main character messes it up so badly; like holding hands. Is it possible to die of laughter and cuteness? I hope this question gets answers in the next episode. I am seriously looking forward to it. :)

EDIT 17/11/14: I have never been more mislead by an anime series, in my entire life. So not Yuri.

Hataraku Maou-sama

Finished another series, Yay for me!

The 13 episode series was certainly long, in more ways than one. When i first started watching it, i found it refreshing. The comedic sense was good and the characters were certainly a blast to watch as they tried to adjust to their new surroundings.

Maou Sadao is actually the Demon overlord Satan from ente isle, who escapes into the modern world with his sidekick, Ashiya. The first few episodes show how maou gets a job at McRonalds (i laughed when i saw it) and Ashiya becomes a 'male-wife' who does the chores in their itty bitty rental house.

Maou bumps into a red headed girl at the traffic light and lends her his umbrella because of the rain. However, the red-headed girl discovers his identity and turns out to be the Hero who drove Overlord Satan into escaping; Emilia. I don't want to spoil the story for you so i will just summarize the first few episodes. Now for my thoughts on this anime.

Although i had to admit it was interesting, the story became stagnant after the fifth or sixth episode as the characters had already adjusted to their new lives. It tried to revive the story by adding several new characters such as Lucifer and Suzuno, but the plot had already went past the point of no return. I enjoyed the fantasy added into this anime because it spiced it up alot. But to my dismay, there wasn't many action scenes and majority of the episodes revolved around Maou working at McRonalds with Chiho or Emilia constantly checking up on him.

The second last episode started out good....before its bubble popped. One thing i had a problem with was the fact that Maou was ridiculously overpowered. I understand that he is the demon overlord but what use is an evil villain if we all know he's going to be defeated so easily? The fights last for about 2 to 4 mins max.

I have mixed feelings for this anime, however it proved to be a delight and a disappointment. My opinion is that they should have at least sent Maou back to ente isle for one episode instead of repeatedly showing the same thing; He goes to work, Emilia stalks him, they fight, he goes back home OR Bad-guy appears, beats him, Maou gets his powers, thrashes them and goes home.

I would say that the fantasy aspect of this series should have been brought out more, because it got boring midway through. HOWEVER, it was still enjoyable but i wouldn't want to watch it again. Though the fights were freaking awesome.

Plot: The story hits a block. Refreshing at first but downhill after five to six episodes. 6/10

Characters: Pretty developed. They managed to explore Emilia's past, it was really touching.  8/10

Graphics: The fights were cool, but there were too little action scenes. The transformation of Maou was kinda overboard but Emilia's archangel form suited her well. 7/10

Recommendation: It was good, but for those who want a good plot, you better try something else. 3/5

Moyashimon: Tales of agriculture

First off i had no idea that the manga had gotten an anime series, and it happened quite some time ago too. I followed the manga and found it pretty intersting so imagine my surprise (and delight) when i found out there WAS an anime.

I found the microbes really cute when i first saw them and i think it may be one of the few reasons i actually read the manga or watched the anime. I would put this series down as one of those underrated animes which are quirky yet interesting.

I liked the story alot, and really who wouldn't? Tadayasu Sawaki is a university freshman at a Tokyo agriculture university who has a rather unqiue ability; to see microscopic organisms with the naked eye that only can be seen through state-of-the-art microscopes.

Although the story may seem rather bland, i can say that it was interesting and quirky enough to keep me watching. It had only 11 episodes which was a complete walk in the park for me, and happily enough there is a second season called Moyashimon returns.

Plot: Some episodes were albeit boring but the rest were good. 7.5/10

Characters: They were different in their own way, and they were individually developed. 8/10

Graphics: The microbe's design was just extremely cute and it was portrayed in a fun way. 7.5/10

Recommendation: Although it was interesting, some may find it rather boring but hopefully you will try it out before brushing it off. 2/5

Ore no imouto konna ni kawaii wake ga nai S2

Alright so my close shave (maybe even too close) with the laws of copyrights made me search like crazy for this picture. I've seen it on quite alot of pages so i'm sure its alright.

Alright peeps, this is the second anime that i have finished on a weekly basis which has made me very happy. I found the second season rather well made, and enjoyed it immensely. I hadn't expected it to be this good.

Kyosuke's relationships between kirino and the other girls really improved within the short span of 12 episodes for the second season. Rather than going all the way with the incest route that they could have easily taken (title speaks for itself) the producers really went all the way with the 'harem'.

The second season was definitely more suspenseful then the first and i loved the story more and more as it progressed. Some parts were really surprising and defied my expections. Great job Aniplex and A-1 pictures! The graphics were great too!

I also found it funny how kyosuke was stuck in increasingly embarrassing situations (being caught by their parents) and my favorite one was when he rode a girlishly decorated bicycle to help kirino make it on time for the merumeru stardust witch event. Wearing a suit.I laughed my ass off.

Some of the episodes were sort-of predictable though but who cares. On a side not i especially love the tension between Kuro neko and Ayase. It was hilarious to see both 'dark' forces clash!

Plot: Love it so. Much better than S1 but that is to be expected.10/10

Characters: Need i say more? 8/10

Graphics: Wonderful. As good or better than the first of Oreimo. 9/10

Recommendation: Though the idea of incest might put you off, i can assure that this anime is top notch. While you're at it, go watch the first season! 4/5

Jormungand: Perfect order

Greatest ending that i have seen in years. Finally a anime which actually ends properly.

Alright so this is the second season of Jormungand, and i must admit that it is much better than the first season. My kinda anime! Now it is one of my favourites!

So the second season introduces to us a new array of characters, most of them obviously deadly and complete nutjobs. But of course it makes the show interesting so who gives a flying damn. The first few episodes were especially good, i won't give you any spoilers but i can say that it will definitely make your nose bleed. Hohoho!

Moving on, this season gradually begins to reveal koko's ambitions and i found it jaw-dropping. Simply awesome!! The characters are doing an even better job at making me laugh, cry and grip my bunny in excitement. I don't want to divulge any information so i'll make this quick.

Plot: Outstanding, i love it so much. 10/10

Characters: They are whacko, and their pasts are revealed. Who am i to complain? 8/10

Graphics: Same as the first season. 8/10

Recommendation:  I don't care if you hate violence. Just watch it. 5/5

Jormungand

Hey hey i finished another anime. I love this one.

Alright so i completed another series, this one is notably exciting and i'm on a roll.

The story revolves around Jonathan Mar or Jonah for short, who is hired by an arms dealer Koko Hekmatyar. The first episode reveals that jonah hates arms dealers because his parents were killed by state-of-the-art weapons used by the attackers. As the show goes on, i could see that his icy demeanor is slowly broken down by koko, helped by her personal elite bodyguards.

I would say that the characters make this anime more enjoyable and surprisingly enough, it has its own brand of humor and comedy. The jokes aren't really over used, and i kept laughing when the team realized that Jonah had no education at all! Their reactions were first class!

Another thing i love about this anime is the action scenes, it can be extremely exciting most of the time, but also horrifyingly suspenseful. I love how valmet fights, her knife action always makes me squeal like a fan-girl! Koko is also another one of my favorite characters, she seems mysterious and aloof but it is apparent that she loves her team very much and treats them like her family. I kinda guessed that she was seriously dangerous, and i think she has another motive for selling weapons.

Its time for a hunt boys.
Anyway, the graphics are really good and i say this because the gun fights and knife action is amazingly fluid. Awesomness overload. The way their feelings are shown through their faces is also great, a double bonus for me! Whoop whoop!

Plot: Interesting. 8/10

Characters: They make the show better, and they are understandably awesome. Respect. 10/10

Graphics: Fantastico! 8/10

Recommendation: If you liked black lagoon, you'll definitely like this one. 5/5

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru

Hey y'all. This series was a nice watch, and it is the first one i finished on a weekly episode basis.

Words that i would use to describe this anime would be cynical, sarcastic, harsh and truthful. I enjoyed it because it was totally different from other animes, and i found it a nice change of pace.

The main character, Hikigaya Hachiman is a isolated loner with no friends who was forced to join a club called the 'neighbors club'. In fact only he and a girl known as the renowned ice-queen, Yukino Yukinoshita are the only members in this club. Both have their own cynical views on their highschool life and are loners, but it is later revealed that they went through unpleasant experiences during their early years thus making them albeit twisted.

The neighbors club take on requests from students in their school which ranges from helping them to bake cookies, detective work and etc.

I especially love how this anime delivers the truth of how relationships work and how hachiman plays the bad guy most of the time. Truthfully i feel kinda sad for him because nobody realizes how much he does for them because he usually solves their problems in a way that only he can solve them. Usually they end up hating him.

The last episode nearly had me in tears because i saw that he was actually broken by what we call 'society' and its norms, forcing him to take on a harsher, more crude personality to cope with how horribly he is treated. He uses this as a defense mechanism.

I can say with a straight face that i want a friend/mentor like him. Hikigaya hachiman doesn't bother to sugarcoat his words, and delivers all who watch this anime his strange theories on relationships backed up by his whacked logic. You can choose whether or not to take his words seriously, but personally i do. I find that the stuff he says is true to a certain extent, but i won't swear by it though.

Keke i think this may be my favourite anime of this season.

Hachiman and Yukino figuring out how to bake. Lol cute.
Plot: Just like any other school life anime, but it felt more interesting because of the characters. 7/10

Characters: I love hikigaya and yukino, they liven up the series by a large margin and i enjoy their own brand of humor. 8/10

Recommendation: 5/5

Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari

Hmm  have i been watching too much anime recently?.....NOPE lets continue!

So many pretty girls!

So i decided to watch some harem anime this time, and i can say that i feel delighted after watching this. I love the mix of fantasy and fighting action but hey! The romance is pretty good too! This is actually a spin-off from Tenchi Muyo! but i decided to just watch this.

This anime is actually rated R17 but before you go running to your burrow or calling me a pervert, this anime isn't really that bad. Sure there are some nude scenes and maybe a little (or alot) sexual innuendo here and there....but i've seen worse in some of the PG13 ecchi animes. Compared to that, this one is like wearing bloomers down at the beach.

Okay, maybe that was a bad visual but you get my point.

Kay moving on.

This series is about a boy who is seemingly transported from an alternate world into the current one. There he receives orders to assassinate the Queen....who is a twelve year old girl. Riding on a battle machine called "Seikishi" he attacks the ship (floating island?) along with his mysterious captors who promised to send him back if he managed to kill the queen.

However they fail when a hidden body guard disrupts their plan, and as the boy, Kenshi, corners the queen, he gives up because he refuses to kill someone. The queen becomes interested in him, and takes him in.

Well thats the lowdown, but i love how this anime manages to throw in comedy that is genuinely funny. Not like other crappy fanservice animes which just make jokes out the girl's chest and or butt.

The plot is also quite good and i found that it became more enjoyable after the first few episodes. Not to mention that they also have some really hot girls. Hey, seeing several pretty faces won't hurt. And while we are also on the subject, i proclaim my self as a fan of mexiah and lashara!

Plot: Interesting and funny. But most episodes were about him adjusting to life at the other world. Bah who cares i love it. 8/10

Characters: Too many characters but many of them are pretty cute. Unfortunately, doesn't explain much of Kenshi's past. Kenshi is so goddamned cute and innocent! 7/10

Graphics: Love how the seikishi is drawn. 7/10

Recommendation:  5/5

Well see you next time Zamasu!

Natsuiro Kiseki

I have completely fallen in love with this Anime and its characters! Pity it has only 12 episodes.

Hehe this is my ipad wallpaper.
The title caught my eye when i was searching for some friendship animes, so i decided to give it a try. The first episode was dramatic and really caught my attention because it didn't start out with a cliche scene of the main character running late. From there i was completely hooked and was sucked into the plot.

"At a Shinto shrine in Shimoda, there is a large rock. It is said that if four close friends gather around the rock and all wish for the same thing, that wish will come true. As four friends, Natsumi, Saki, Yuka and Rinko, gather around the rock like they used to in their childhood, they soon find the rock can indeed grant people's wishes. With only a short amount of time before Saki is due to transfer schools, the girls spend a summer filled with magic."
            -Wikipedia source

To sum up the entire show, its basically about four best friends who had grown up together however one of them; Saki is moving to an island near Tokyo. She avoided telling them at first and refused to state her reasons when questioned by Natsumi, one of her best friends.

It led to a quarrel and made the other two, Rin and Yuka wish on a supposedly 'magical' rock which were said to grant wishes. Also, the first episode showed a backstory of the four friends who wished upon the rock to become Idols like their favourite group; Four seasons.

Natsumi and Saki were bluffed into appearing at the rock when Rin fabricated a text message exclaiming that Yuka had fainted. After the being caught red-handed by natsumi and saki, they lean on the rock Yuka says, "I wish we could fly."

You can guess what happens from there.

I enjoyed this show mainly because of how they managed to overcome hardships through friendship and although it may sound cheesy, i can assure you that this is not your run of the mill anime. It is actually quite rare to see this sort of plot executed perfectly, because this types of shows are usually for fanservice (based on experience) and has no solid plotline.

The characters mature as their summer together begins to end. They revisit their childhood and try to find out what it actually means to be friends. A beautiful heartwarming story.

Overall i found it cute and enjoyed it more then i expected. I would categorize this as an underrated anime. On a side note the characters in the show are voiced by Sphere,

Plot: Not complex but unpredictable and leaves you wanting more. 9/10

Characters: I coin the term opposites attract for this. Hot headed Natsumi, cool beauty Saki, quiet Rin and bubbly Yuka! I find that they are the main ones who propell the plot forward and make it even more enjoyable. 8/10

Graphics: The animation in this one is pretty good, and i like how the characters were given tiny little details to make them more 'themselves' which sets them apart from other characters. 7/10

Music: I searched youtube for the ost and heard a few. 7/10

NOTE: I am going to including the music aspect for all the reviews from now on because i lack expertise in this area. I don't want to give half-assed reveiws on one component of the anime.

Saki

Aww yeah! Finished another anime series! I'm onna roll baby! :)

Anyway, i just completed the anime Saki which consists of 25 episodes. I must say that i really enjoyed this anime even though it is mostly shonen. I think the subtle hints of yuri helped me survive! Naw i'm just kidding, the storyline was pretty good. Butt the male character is completely useless. Except for the fact that he gives us some sexy views of Nodoka and several lewd thoughts about her, he's useless.

After watching this i have the sudden urge to go learn mahjong and pull out all those sick moves that Saki and Nodoka did! Seriously! During matches shit was hitting the ceiling!!

I didn't think i would enjoy this to this extent and quite pleased after finishing it. It was exactly what i needed after Girls und Panzer. Although it was a pretty good anime, i want to point out that almost all the episodes were about the preliminary matches where the Kiyosumi highschool mahjong club tried to qualify for the Nationals, but i still recommend watching it.

The part which really put me off was the last two episodes. It was completely fillerish and though they showed a brief background story on Saki's sister, it wasn't nearly as exciting as the other episodes. Anddddd the damned ending made me freaking curious!!

Well now onto the review.

Plot: Simple and easy to follow. Funny at times. But easily predictable. Nevertheless it is enjoyable. 7/10

Characters: After watching, i totally ship SakiXNodoka!!! But i'm torn because the characters background were not really elaborated although they showed each other's circumstances about why they had to win. I guess its so-so. 7/10

Graphics: Pretty good. i found it pleasing to the eye. I like how the characters were drawn. 7/10

Music: thrilling. Love it! But i thought it could have done better. 7/10

I don't regret watching it!! One of the few good sports animes out there.

Girls und Panzer

Yohalo! dofu's back from the dead guys! Since exams are over, i decided to take up the long awaited anime, Girls und Panzer!

I really enjoyed this series alot, for several reasons. One of which is because i love anime's with only girls! Good lord i sound like a pervert.

This is so fucking moe.
Anyway, i really enjoyed it mainly because this anime manages to integrate school life, tanks, cuteness and action all in one! Whoever made this is a freakin genius. I would also like to add that this anime is very popular in Japan and topped the Oricon charts.

Well basically its a rather enjoyable series, although the plot line is easy to follow but it is also very predictable. But no matter! After the first episode your cliche thoughts will be flying out of the window! The graphics are awesome and the tanks are very detailed and look absolutely amazing.

Another downside to this anime is that it has too many characters and if you are bad at remembering names like me, you'll probably give up at the 3rd episode or so. The last few episodes had a few rag-tag characters thrown in but it didn't affect the plot that much. Fret not! Because none of these details will prevent you from enjoying this series! Now onto the review!!

Plot: Simple but interesting. An anime which perfectly fits the quote "Its not the destination that counts, its the Journey." Love it! 8/10

Characters: These highly lovable characters bring the show to new heights. Unfortunately, their background is not really clear with the exception of several characters like Miho and Hana. Their teamwork is great too! So i'm just gonna be a little generous for this one! 8/10

Graphics: Truly deserves some praise. 10/10

Music: I like the fact the they had several languages mixed in and who can forget the anglerfish dance! 7/10

Highly recommend watching this series if you're into comedy/action/moe girls! I love them, their so cute!

If you watch the video i linked, you will know how enjoyable this anime is!!
